Non League Training ......

Non League PlayerNon League football training takes place on a Saturday morning at Spitalfield in Welland Village between September and May. Age groups range from Under 5 to Under 14. At Welland we aim to provide training, in a non league environment, for anyone who wants to play irrespective of their footballing skills ability.

All the Team Managers/Coaches are volunteers and have been trained to FA Club Coach Level 1. - Courtesy Google Maps

Training starts around 9.00am and finishes around 10.30am. Once the final whistle has blown players are provided with a drink of orange squash and a biscuit from the Pavilion.

During periods of bad weather the pitch will be inspected before 8:00am and any cancellations will be relayed to the manager/coaches and the webmaster who will update the web site before 8:30am (subject to occasional holidays).

When friendly matches have been arranged the games will be played at Spitalfield or at the oppositions home venue. Parents will be asked to help in transporting players to away venues but must ensure they are covered by their vehicle insurance and must comply with the latest child seat belt laws.

Many thanks to the new coaches who have started this season and if any other parent would like to help please speak to any of the Managers.

While watching your children training why not enjoy a nice hot cup of tea, coffee or soup and a bacon butty. Drinks are only £1.00 and bacon butties are £1.50 so why not visit the Pavilion and place your order.
