Welland Junior Football Club - Training Welland Junior Football Club is an FA Charter Standard Community Club and during 2008 we were presented with the ‘County Winner Club Award' in recognition of our commitment to:
  • Junior football in the community
  • Plans for funding and facility development
  • Charter Standard renewal
  • Sustained growth and extensive member training program
  • Introduction of girl’s football teams and our co-operation with MHDC

WJFC Pavilion

WELLAND JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB - Updated 25th August 2016

GIRLS FOOTBALL
Welland Junior F.C. Girls under 13 & under 15s are looking for more players to join their teams for this season. Both these teams will be playing on Saturday mornings in The Mercian Fortis Junior League with games at Dyson Perrins or The Hill Centre, Upton-upon-Severn. All female teams in the Club train on Thursday nights and are coached by FA qualified coaches who deliver high quality challenging sessions in a social environment.


GIRLS HUB-CLUB

The Club is now working with other Malvern based football clubs supported by the WFA Skills Team for younger girls (5-11 years) looking to start playing football with training at Dyson Perrins from Friday September 9th, 4-5pm for the girls only sessions. Welland’s Under 18s coordinator Sian Cousins will be attending most of these sessions so please do say hello!

SATURDAY CLUB
Welland’s popular Saturday Club returns on Saturday 3rd September 2016, 9am-10.30am at Spitalfield, Welland Pavilion for all younger players aged u6 to u13 who aren’t yet playing league football with the emphasis on high quality coaching for fun!

Kit4Cash @ Spitalfield, Welland - Updated 9th August 2016

Can we ask you to donate your old football boots/shin-pads/goalie gloves/trainers etc. to the Club when your child has grown out of them so that other players can make use of them.

Jo Cousins will be managing the Kit4Cash scheme and there will be a selection of items on display each week at the Spitalfield Pavilion plus a Kit4Cash Facebook Page - Details HERE

Boys Fair Play Award - Updated 27th May 2016

CONGRATULATIONS!

The Mercian Fortis Junior Football League have just confirmed that Welland Juniors Lions Under 12’s are the winners of the Boys Fair Play Award for season 2015-16.

The Ron Lewis Trophy will be presented at the Mercian Fortis Junior Football League AGM on 5th June 2016.

Very well done to everyone involved with the team!!

Pictured here are Welland Under 9 Colts celebrating their victory at Oldbury Tigers 7-a-side Tournament held at the ‘Rushwick Summer Fair".

Battling through the group stages with two wins and a draw the team faced Kempsey Colts in the tense semi-final which went to extra time and then penalties!

The final against St John’s saw the side fight back from a one goal deficit at half-time giving their all to run out 2:1 victors !

GIRLS FOOTBALL
Welland Junior FC Girls under 14s & under 16s are looking for more players to join their teams for this season. The under 14s team will be playing on Saturday mornings in The Mercian Fortis Junior League and the under 16s will be playing on Sundays in The Gloucester County Girls League. All female teams in the club train on Thursday nights and are coached by FA qualified coaches who deliver high quality challenging sessions in a social environment.

Pay-to-Play

1 child £50 Not sure whether your child really likes football? Why not come along to training on a Saturday morning at Welland and Pay-to-Play. You can pay £2 a week for the first 4 weeks to see whether your child is happy at the Club. After 4 weeks we ask you to pay the full registration fee less what you have already paid. If your child is not happy at the Club you can just walk away, but any feedback would be appreciated.
